About CMA Foundation Course

The CMA Foundation is the entry-level examination conducted by the Institute of Cost Accountants of India (ICMAI), formerly known as ICWAI. The CMA (Cost and Management Accountant) qualification is a prestigious professional designation that opens doors to careers in cost management, financial planning, and strategic management.

Eligibility Criteria

• Students who have passed 10+2 (Senior Secondary) from a recognized board
• Students appearing for 10+2 can also register on provisional basis
• Open to students from all streams - Commerce, Science, and Arts
• Candidates who have passed the Foundation/Entry level of ICAI or ICSI are also eligible

Exam Pattern

• Examination conducted twice a year - June and December
• Papers 1, 3 & 4 are objective type (MCQ based)
• Paper 2 is subjective type (descriptive)
• Each paper carries 100 marks with 3 hours duration
• Minimum 40% in each paper and 50% in aggregate to pass
• No negative marking for objective papers
